Crashing atoms was born in the fall of 2001. Originally a four piece band, the strongest members survived: Kris “The Reverend” Pagel on lead vocals and guitar, Eric Swoveland on Bass and vocals, and Todd Sydlo on Drums. The band has played many shows across the state and in Canada. Crashing atoms was born in the fall of 2001. Originally a four piece band, the strongest members survived: Kris “The Reverend” Pagel on lead vocals and guitar, Eric Swoveland on Bass and vocals, and Todd Sydlo on Drums. The band has played many shows across the state and in Canada. Our biggest shows were the 2004 Van’s Warp Tour, the 2005 Hamtramck Blowout, and a small set of ours was filmed on CMN in Oakland county and aired over six times last fall on a show called the “Atomic Mix”. Our influences are numerous. We are inspired by any and all artists from the past one hundred years to present and by life around us. We try to mold all this into something new. Our music speaks for itself but the best is yet to come. Our shows are high energy and entertaining, professional yet loose, skilled but simple. We are Rock & Roll. We are Crashing Atoms.
