Thank you for your comment North Country. We all have a right to our opinions and the freedom to express it. I have always supported the troops and what they do for us. My song "My Kind of Man" was written for Rhythm of Honor, a CD honoring our troops. Goodnight Kiss Music donated a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warriors Fund. My song "Angel" can be heard on websiodes of "In Their Boots." I also volunteer at the Van Nuys Armory with Operation Gratitude which sends care packages to the troops. So believe me, I am grateful. The Bush Administration, in my opinion, was the most divisive administration in my lifetime. Thousands of soldiers gave their lives for a war that stemmed from Bush's personal vendetta. Our federal deficit, once a surplus during the Clinton Administration, was also caused by the war in Iraq and will effect generations to come. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Every Administration has its flaws, yes, and no one is going to make everyone happy all of the time. So instead of standing in a picket line, or writing a letter to the editor, or plastering bumper stickers on my car, or sending hate mail to various offices, or voicing my opinions over Thanksgiving dinner, I wrote a song.

Americans sleep safely because brave men and women keep guard at night against bad guys. You don't seem to understand who the (truly) bad guys are.
Partisan rhetoric (from the right and left) like yours, poisons our common well. And those of us who aren't political puppets don't care to be continually subjected to snake oil pushers. If you think peace is the default state of existence, try loving on a wild baby lion in front of it's mother. Shoulder to shoulder, we will strive for peace with you, but not at the expense of our unfettered freedom.
