Rufus Stone has been on the British Country circuit in one form or another since the mid 1980's having played in bands such as The Kentucky Fried Cowboys, The Sons of The South, The Heroes and the country band Rufus Stone. Upon the discovery of a long standing Rhythm and Blues band of the same name, Rufus decided to adopt the name Country Rufus in order to avoid confusion. Rufus Stone has been on the British Country circuit in one form or another since the mid 1980's having played in bands such as The Kentucky Fried Cowboys, The Sons of The South, The Heroes and the country band Rufus Stone. Upon the discovery of a long standing Rhythm and Blues band of the same name, Rufus decided to adopt the name Country Rufus in order to avoid confusion. Although he has recently re-located to France, Rufus still performs in the UK as well as festivals and venues in Northern France. An acomplished songwriter, Rufus has just begun work on an album of self penned numbers which is planned for completion in the spring.
