Arriving just 3 minutes after her twin sister Janelle Rahkell, Conscious entered this world feet first (breech) defining to the world just how a change has come. Conscious, a thinker and observer grew up slow to speak but quick to listen. Learning from other’s trials and tribulations along with the grace of God, Conscious avoided a lot of destruction in which those before her fell upon. Amongst her many life lessons, she quickly learned that life is a journey...not a destination. She also learned that it’s not always what you say...but rather how you say it, so at the age of 15 she started writing raps w/vocal hooks to bring about a deeper feeling....and stronger connection to the message she delivered. Deciding that she wanted her words to do more than entertain, she wrote to touch and give people something to hold onto. With a moto of ‘It is what it is’ and an understanding that often times things are better left ‘short and sweet’, Conscious defies normality by.... ‘just being me’. An example of communication, love, inspiration and truth, she’s always possesed a unique way of leaving one with something to think about.....hence the birth of Conscious.
