Carnes is an artist and songwriter from Dallas, Texas.
During his career as a solo artist and a former member of
christian rock band, Crimson Soul, he has shared the stage
with Switchfoot, Family Force 5, Needtobreathe, Anberlin,
TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Barlow Girl, Shawn McDonald,
Shane and Shane, Disciple, Superchick, Stellar Kart, Hawk Nelson,
and many more. Cody also leads worship at one of the
largest churches in the country, Gateway Church in Southlake, Tx.
On January 7, 2010, his song, Victory, was sung by recording artist,
Rita Springer, on Gateway Worship's Let's Go project.
Also in January 2010, he released The Lighter Side EP,
which is his second project as a solo artist. Carnes is also know
for playing multiple instruments including acoustic guitar, piano, bass, and drums.
