About Class

Portrait of Class

Class Welcome Hip-Hop’s soon to be most influential MC. Bringing it back so we can take it forward. Class was born Eric M. Diaz in Worcester MA. April 1986. The year Def Jam was taking the world by storm with the release of Run DMC’s “Raising Hell” and The Beastie Boys “License to Ill”. Inspired by Rakim, NAS, LL Cool J, to Jay-Z,(to name a few) Class began writing at 13 but never entered a cypher (freestyle session) until 17. “When I heard Kanye for the first time that was definitely motivation. He was being himself and still coming hard on the mic, without selling crack in between each verse.” Rapping without a name, Eric was given the alias Class by Logic of H.G.C.( Highly Gifted Crew). "He found out I didn’t have a name and was determined to give me one. One day we was in a cypher and after I spit he was like, “E-Class! ’Cause every time you get on the mic, you take ’em to school” I dropped the E to separate me from other cat’s out there with the name and Class was born." Debut Mixtape “In Session” drops DEC 2009.
