Cortez "Chrome Boss" Reid grew up on the streets of East Saint Louis. At the age of 8 he moved to Dallas, Texas with his mother. After being Separated from his big brother Cedric "Lil Ced" Reid for 6 years, they were finally able to see each other on Fathers Day. When he moved to Cedar Hill he started rapping with his child hood friend Ontae "Lil Taz" Nangle at a studio. After making it half way through the mix tape the studio was shut down for unexplained reasons. Once the school year started he began rapping with a new friend, Lorenzo "Lil Typ" Thxubadeua. They were rapping at Typ's house for half of the year...the mix tape was cancelled when Typ got in law trouble. Looking for a place to record... Chrome's mother told him about her co workers son having his own studio. One weekend he and Typ went to Oak cliff to meet him. His name was Taz Green and they began rapping for Sky High ent. Chrome Boss eventually came out with his second mix tape Dedicated vol.2 which was a huge success. Now he, Lil Ced, and Lil Typ are all making hits and working with local stars like Trai D,T real, Baby C, Big Tuck and many others.
