NYC-based songwriter, bassist, and multi-instrumentalist, Chris’ music reflects a fear that hope is lost, of being manipulated into chasing another person’s dreams. But beyond that fear is a sense that it’s not too late to turn things around, the hope that it is possible to change.

Chris prefers song forms to genres and works with a palate that extends to many of the pop, rock, and experimental styles since the 50s. He also incorporates a cyclical rhythmic sensibility that’s informed by West African music, and minimalist composers.

Chris has appeared as a sideman with the Populists (aka the Pops), Wicked Charmer, Dylan Nirvana, The Clubs, Spyfly, the Orange Oven, and Sparrow and the Jade. His previous bands were the Feral Children, Air Guitar, and the Unstoppable Black Clouds. He also composes and produces electronic music under the name Enemy Satellite.
