Charisse is the complete package…a pop-rock tour de force
with model looks and musical chops to match. A true artist
in every sense of the word, she is an extremely talented
vocalist, a prolific songwriter and a gifted guitarist whose
musical maturity easily defies her youth.

Drawing on a very eclectic range of influences, listeners
may hear hints of Chrissy Hynde, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell,
David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Sheryl Crow and others…but
her sound is all her own.

All of 19 years old, Charisse arrived in New York City’s
infamous Lower East Side with a suitcase, a guitar,
a catalogue of original songs, and a dream. Her presence
and musical talent did not go unnoticed for long, and the
offers of pop stardom came rushing in…but Charisse
refused to become just another manufactured pop princess.
She wanted something more substantial, and continued on
her own path until she caught the attention of the production
team of Jack Daley and Steven Wolf. (Lenny Kravitz, Pink,
Joss Stone, Annie Lennox, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears,
Leona Lewis, etc.) Daley and Wolf immediately recognized
Charisse’s vision and a musical bond was formed. Charisse
and her new producers spent the next few months creating
the EP “Pleasure Victim”.
