Hey there, my name is Dave. Thanks for taking a moment to check things out. I don’t really have much to say other than the best is yet to come. Unfortunately for me, I had three hurricanes blow straight over my County, and I lost everything, my studio, everything! So, what I do have uploaded isn’t a great representation of what I am about or show my many different influences. I was brought up on classic rock, motown and metal. I played in the club circuit for about ten years in a hard rock original and cover band. We also played alot of instrumental type stuff like, Vai, Satriani and Blues Sareceno. I wrote most of the music but didn’t pay much attention to the lyrics.(remember, it was the hair band days, back when there was little substance in the lyrics) After that, I bought a home studio and started putting some songs together and eventually I was confronted with having to come up with some lyrics. It seemed everything I wrote was so cheesy or clech’e. I read some books and studied endless songs and feel that writing lyrics is probably the best part of my writing. Again, the songs on here aren’t from my latest notebook. I am working to get back the equiptment that I lost in the storms and hopefully I’ll have a ton of new stuff in the near future and hopefully will be heard in the top ten. I think this site provides a great forum for feedback and knowledge. There’s a heck of alot more to win here than five grand and a T-shirt.
