CHAMPAIN WISHES BIO “We are the Champions” Originality and Sincerity for music is what sets Detroit Hip Hop Duo “Champain Wishes” aside from the rest. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, cousins Orlando T. Hill “Champ”, and Kevin Caldwell “Maxx Pain”, joined forces (and names) to make their “wishes” come true. After losing a very close friend, “Champ”, was inspired to record a tribute song, marking the beginning of a passionate mission to touch people all over the world through his music. Inspired by Tupac Shakur, “Pain“, who also sings in a number of Champain Wishes melodies, took an interest in music during his early grade school days , he started recording when he was 12 years old. Pain aspires to tell the story of his life and express himself in a similar manner as Tupac did throughout his career. Growing up in the tough streets of Detroit filled with money, murder and drugs, Champ and Pain stayed grounded by their music, recording hundreds of songs with smooth harmonies and fun street tunes such as the flirty “Mr. Fix It” and the R&B savvy “I’m Sick” amongst many others. A melting pot for sound, mixing pop, R&B and powerful rap lyrics, Champain Wishes music is crafted for people of all ages, races and backgrounds. Already creating a name for themselves, Champ and Pain are no strangers to the top players in the rap game today, Champ has worked with the likes of Lil Scrappy and producer “Dirty Byrd“(producer of 50 CENT’S multiplatinum selling record “PIMP”) and Pain has recorded tracks and created beats that feature rap star Young Buck as well as a host of other popular local artists. Champ and Pain currently has tracks on several underground mix tapes and hopes to take their music to the next level. The group independently promotes their music and performs at Detroit’s hottest clubs and bars bringing in an ever expanding loyal fan base to every show. - Jasmine Geary For more information contact Orlando Hill 313-808-9540 or email champainwishes@gmail.com
