Rapper, singer, and songwriter C.G. was born Chris Gregory in Washington, D.C. and raised in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. His start in music came from singing in the school choir and always performing at school functions. A well known basketball prospect in high school, C.G. decided to give up the sport to follow his dream as an entertainer. After high school, he formed the group T-DuBB with 2 of his closest friends. The group derived their name from the housing development they grew up in called Tiffany Woods. T-DuBB made a name for themselves on the success of their hit singles “Famous” and “Biggest Fan” and released an independent album in 2008 that was executive produced by C.G. While touring the country as the headlining act on the Primetime Tour, which is the nation’s premiere high school basketball showcase, the group built a strong following allowing them to sell thousands of albums and downloads. As with many groups though, inner turmoil eventually forced the group to separate, leaving C.G. at a crossroads. With failure not being an option, C.G. overcame adversity and got back on his grind. Using connections established from the group, he teamed up with syndicated radio DJ KiDD LeOW and started doing remixes to the biggest songs on Top 40 radio with his latest being Lady Gaga’s “Love Game” and Pitbull’s “Hotel Room”.
