Cepheid Variable a.k.a. Jason S. has been writing and producing electronic music since 2006. He currently produces and mixes music using strictly software via Logic Pro.

His style most closely fits progressive melodic trance with elements of house music. His inspiration is derived from classic and popular electronic musical artists who gained ground in the mid and late 1990’s, such as Sasha, Sunbeam, Leon Bolier and others.

Jason has had formal music training. From an early age, he studied piano and music theory under several teachers, including instructors at the Colburn School of Performing Arts. He also attended Idyllwild Arts (then Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts, or I.S.O.M.A.T.A.) learning much about music and art in general.
