Cents Less officially started as a band way back in 1997 in Bernardsville, NJ, which we may also note, is the town with berthed the pop-punk superstars known as LWL. Since that time, and with guidance from their heralded neighbors, Cents Less matured and transformed what was once a practice-one-time-a-week-hobby, into a full-fledged pop-punk outfit like no other. With the average age being 18, and three of their members still in high school, Cents Less was much farther along than most bands their age. Originally started as a trio, with Travis Weber on vocals and guitar, Rich Refalo on bass and vocals, and Ryan Weber on drums, Cents Less wowed and shocked audiences with their powerful version of pop-punk, but something still did not click. That's when destiny stepped in. One day in 1999, while on their daily jaunt to the snack shop, the boys found a guitarist named Kevin Santangelo underneath the train tracks, with a torn Mike Ness shirt on, smoking a quaalude and drinking a fifth of Jim Beam. They immediatley said, "This guy is punk enough to hang" and Kevin was in Cents Less. Since that day, Cents Less has ripped up the scene and tore down bakery walls. They have became Legends in the Pop Punk Scene in New Jersey. Even Though Travis Weber and Ryan Weber Moved forward and are now known as CRASH ROMEO Centsless will always have a special place in there hearts. They are still known to play some Centsless songs at there shows. Centsless Will get you singing along and never be forgotten and who knows there can always be a reunion show someday.
