Crime and poverty went hand in hand in many areas of Long Island, a place where if you've never been, you would think was one of the most peaceful places to live in the country.
Creating music for now over 10 years, Cee One is a seasoned artist both in the studio and on the stage. His new single "What's The Word" featuring R&B crooner JaLi (pronounced Jay Lye) is heating up both clubs and radio.
Working on his debut independent release "A Beautiful Mind" street album, Cee takes the approach of quality over quantity. "You see millions of artists pumping out 2 to 3 mixtapes a month, and they never get anywhere. I put all of myself into each record I work on, I won't even record it if the idea doesn't sound like my best. You can never be big in music if you don't love ALL of your work." says Cee.
His musical influences include Jay-Z, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Rakim, and Snoop Dogg. "I love listening to an artist that can consistently create timeless music. Even if I never go platinum, I want to know that someone loves what I do."
Performing nationwide, Cee One has performed various songs at venues such as Club Miami and Django's in Atlanta, Club Speed in NYC, and all over Long Island.
