Melding soul-melting vocals, outstanding musicianship and distinctive artistry, Cioni Brasco also known as C. Brasco, has established himself as one of the best newcomers on the hip-hop and R&B scene. He’s been called "one of the most refreshing new faces this decade” by the Founder of the Underground Hip-Hop Awards in NYC, Jesse Atkinson. Born Carl Harris in the Bronx, NY, Brasco has music in his genes. His father was a professional musician and played 7 different instruments. But Brasco credits a whole family of singers on his mother’s side for his passion and talent for music. By age 7, he was singing in church and at age 10 began learning to play alto sax and piano. By his teenage years, it was clear that music was Brasco’s destiny. He studied music and performed constantly at his Bronx high school, DWC and at talent shows throughout New York City. Brasco has a solid Bronx posse that has eagerly awaited his debut album. With influences ranging from Ryan Leslie and Nas to Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige, Brasco’s music combines passionate lyrics, upbeat tempos and smooth vocals to create something truly unique. “Ryan Leslie and LL Cool J are both important influences”, says Brasco, “Leslie taught me how to fall in love with the process of making music and LL reminded me not to forget about the ladies. In hip-hop today, we’re chasing away our female audience with lyrics that just aren’t attractive to them. I want to make music the ladies will love.” In another departure from the ordinary, Brasco plans to release his first two albums simultaneously. As evidence of his prolific musical talents, Brasco has already recorded more than 60 records, allowing him to release two albums at once, something no other hip-hop artist has done first time up, as a brand-new artist. The Ladies’ Choice album was created with women in mind and is already capturing the attention of music lovers across genres. Unlike a lot of records that throw in one or two records for the ladies, every song on The Ladies’ Choice Album was created to attract women, to make them feel sexy. The infectious lead single “Put That Lovin’ On Me” is an up-tempo, seductive song about the good vibes of having a true love in your life. The record’s second single, “Closer” breaks down the stereotype about men that they only want "one thing" but sometimes a man just wants to get closer... get to know you... The second record, Swagger Music, has a more definitive hip-hop vibe and lyrics born of the hood. But you’ll still find plenty of records for the ladies. In addition, Brasco not only raps throughout the entire album, but he's sung more than half of the hooks himself. You'll find Brasco's hypnotic vocals on songs like, “You Can Have it All” and “Would You Be Down”. The albums first single, “VIP”, features Aviator and is quickly becoming a club hit. On the business end, Brasco began his record label, Frontline Music Group (FMG), in 2008. As a CEO who is also a producer, singer and songwriter, Brasco directs the company’s day-to-day operations from the front office to the studio. The company currently houses four other artists including Brasco’s longtime collaborator Terrell Marble, better known as Aviator. He has combined his passion for great music with management skills gained in military service to position FMG for success. Some people call C. Brasco’s music R&B, some say it’s hip-hop and others put him in the pop category. But no matter how you classify it, this is great music and you are going to want to hear more of it. C. Brasco is poised to claim his place as one of the rising stars of R&B and hip-hop. With an upbeat edge from the streets of the Bronx and a voice that can only come from God, this artist is one to keep your eye on.
