Cats In The Grass formed in the spring of 2007 as the result of a merging of Josh Rogoff, Jonny Rogoff, and Dylan Jacobus from Jonny and the On the Spots; and Robert Leming of Late Companion. In fall of 2007, Chris Pachomski was added to the lineup to fill in for Josh while he was at college. Chris became an indispensable part of the band, so Cats now has a rotating array of guitarists. Cats In The Grass formed in the spring of 2007 as the result of a merging of Josh Rogoff, Jonny Rogoff, and Dylan Jacobus from Jonny and the On the Spots; and Robert Leming of Late Companion. In fall of 2007, Chris Pachomski was added to the lineup to fill in for Josh while he was at college. Chris became an indispensable part of the band, so Cats now has a rotating array of guitarists. Cats In The Grass relied on word-of-mouth and showmanship to gain popularity from the fall of 2007 to the summer of the following year, recorded a handful of basement demos over that time, then recorded and gave out an official EP entitled "Cats In The Grass Times 50" in August of 2008. In January of 2009, Patrick O'Donnell began filling in for Jonny, who is in Israel for a few months. Although the members of the band all live in different places, they still manage to come together for a show when the opportunity comes up.
