Buffalo Clover is a four piece band formed in Nashville, TN. Lead by front woman Margo Price, the group draws inspiration from true roots music. They summon early forms of blues, rock, folk, Motown and gypsy styles to create something totally original. At the heart of the band is songwriting couple Margo Price and Jeremy Ivey. Their songs are built around beat music, matchbook rants, half burned love letters and protest poems. In an age where bands are more about gimmicks and marketing than the actual songs themselves, Buffalo Clover is a needle in the hay. With unique and melodic tunes held strong by poetic lyrics, these songs will outlast the times. Following the release of their first album, ‘Pearls to Swine’, the group took off on a gypsy tour across the country. Spanning 10,000 miles and twenty two states, they left from Chicago in a 1986 Winnebago to play over twenty shows from the east to west coast. Buffalo Clover headlined at a variety of venues, from an indie theater in New Orleans, to a Hookah Bar in North Carolina, they played for both small crowds and packed halls. From a saloon in Mesa, Arizona to the famed House of Blues on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, the band was able to build even more of an underground fan base. No matter what the crowd, the reaction was always strong and positive. Upon returning to Nashville, B.C. finds it more important than ever to reach a growing audience. They are currently working on the release of their second full length album, ‘Strong Medicine’.
