My name is Chris Barnes, I live in Staunton, VA..I am a country song lyricist and I am an amatuer country music journalist,critic and historian..I am the founder and editor of a country music blog which specializes in spotlighting artists and bands of all country music and subgenres within country music from every walk of life from the weekend garage band that plays the local hang-out for the gate receipts to the touring professionals on the cusp of "making it" and even have music out on the small independent record labels or those who self-produce their own music. This blog also bring the latest in country music news, record reviews and country music Op-Ed pieces written by the blogger. I want to start my own home-based internet country radio station and I am looking for either an established franchise or affiliate business where I can legally sell music downloads for all kinds of music and every artist from the independents to the likes of Tim McGraw or Carrie Underwood,the music download business and the radio station would be a nice dovetail to my blog..

My long term goals range from being a published song lyricist and/or collaborating country songwriter to being involved in every aspect of the country music business from broadcasting and creation and country music production for TV and radio, to music publishing, to artist management and booking, to producing and distributing records via my own record label.
