Fuck what everybody else is talking about right now, my hand is up to speak. My name is Brandon Roberto Simmons but you might as well get to use to calling it B-SimmS, a nickname a few of my teammates gave me when I played football in high school all four years. I am from Houston, Texas from the Hiram Clarke and went to Madison High School and attended Texas State University for 5 years where I got a bachelors degree in Mass Communications. I won’t get into all the details, but you can get a chunk of my story from my upcoming album, I Cant Wait for my Payday. I have been rapping since I was 11 years old and I have yet to find anything else worth working hard for. I’ve done 9 total projects: 4 solo (Liquor Store Shades, Lost My Mind, Menace II Sobriety, and Too Fat for Skinny Jeans) and 5 collaborative/group mixtapes (A Texas Statement: Volumes 1 and 2, Ha-Style vs. B-SimmS, Royal Records presents The Cakewalk Mixtape, Royal Records presents Act a Fool Mixtape). I was recently featured on the B. Star and Aye Cue mixtape "The Flight to Alcatraz"which is uploaded on www.hotnewhiphop.com. I love mixtapes but performing is where my heart is. My first performance was in front of a church crowd at Brentwood Baptist Church. I messed the words up, but everybody said they enjoyed me on the stage anyway. From there I took that admiration to college where I performed at numerous talent shows, freestyle battles, and bars in the town. Recently I have done a couple of performances in Austin at the Pink Monkey in which one of them included opening up for the Screwed Up Click. Right now I am an unsigned artist looking for a record deal(whether major or independent), collab with other artists and also looking to perform at live music venues. Rap is no joke to me; it’s the best thing in my life right now and has always been. With rap I have done things I never thought I could do and met people I know I would never even talk to. Here is a quote from Ray C, former 106 and Park March Mayhem contestant and host of two events I was apart of (2008 AALC Welcome Back Social; 2009 The Epidemic: Freestyle Battle and Hip Hop Showcase): “B-SimmS music is 100 percent real. He spits what he knows, how he feels, and what his life is. Always a great performer, crowd pleaser, and passionate MC!”
