Scarlett’s Letter:A Sordid Interpretation of Briana Arrington Briana Arrington is sincere, sincerely talented and severely hot. Although I am very close to her, I find she is also very cryptic, which is probably why she won’t be giving any information like this out herself and also why she begged me to do it for her whilst remaining anonymous. That’s fine with me, Bri, you’re the big shot now. She told me she didn’t want things on her Website such as her favorite food or color because it was, and I quote, “cliche.” But I told her look, “People want to know about you, even if it is the small things. “Yeah right,” she flatly responded. The truth is the girl’s too prideful. She says it’s hard for her to pursue music. Not because she doesn’t love it, on the contrary, she is, to say the least, too passionate (Which I think is a good thing). She told me once that if she tries and fails it will break her heart more than any man ever could. But rest assured she’s smart enough to know that no matter how much it might hurt, she never wants to look back and have to accept that she never even tried. And so the dissection begins…Her favorite quote is in the immortal words of Erykah Badu. “Now keep in mind that I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my shit.” Briana has many hobbies, mostly good ones. The good ones include; writing songs (of course), riding her bike while listening to Dwight Yohkam, dying old clothes to make them look new or tye-dyed, watching the occasional movie, and reading. She likes all kinds of books, mostly the kind that make you laugh; anything by Christopher Moore or Kinky Friedman. Opposedly, there’s one rather horrifying book, “Invisible Monsters” by Chuck Palahniuk (also the author of “Fight Club”) of which she is fond of as well. I’m not quite sure what her favorite color is but judging by her love for the outdoors and her outfits, I would think green. Maybe blue with the outdoors thing but she sure does wear a lot of green and her Halloween outfits for the past three years have been green so yeah… I’m gonna go with green. Oh yeah, movies. She’s always liked “What about Bob” because she says Bill Murray’s portrayal of a crazy person makes it seem OK and maybe even better to be crazy. And “Raising Arizona” because it has great dialogue, great direction, everything about it is great, and Nicolas Cage’s hair couldn’t be any more rad. As far as the food thing goes, even I have to agree that knowing her favorite food is a bit trivial. Plus, I would have to assume she doesn’t have one because I’ve never seen that girl turn down ANYTHING to eat. Briana has a style all her own. When you hear it, you know it. She likes every type of music because she has a deep respect for it. So she doesn’t play favorites with artists or albums. But her sound I believe is best filtered down through two artists it seems she listens to more keenly than most: the beautiful Fiona Apple and the demigod who is Bob Dylan. Alright Bri, you owe me for this. You probably could’ve put things much better than me with your wax poetic soliloquies. Anyway, you don’t need luck I know you’ll do great.-your “anonymous” best friend
