It was in 1999 that, at the age of seven, Brad Scott's Grandpa taught him to play the key of A on the guitar. With the Doc Williams Instructional Guitar Book (also from Grandpa) as a guide, Brad spent countless hours practicing and learning. By the time he was eleven years old, Brad had made his first public appearance - at the Clayton Ham Jam, where much to his family's surprise, he also sang for the first time publicly! Since then, Brad has gained a lot of experience playing everything from chicken pickin', classic country to classic rock and has had the great fortune to share the stage with many of the Ottawa Valley's talented musicians, including his idol Steve Piticco, and was invited to perform at the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame Show at Centrepointe Theatre last Fall. Over the past couple of years, he has performed as the lead guitar player/singer with several artists and bands and has been performing with his own band, The Brad Scott Band for the last two years. At 18, Brad looks forward to the musical challenges that still lie ahead for him.
