  People. 80,000 people. That's what it's about. The people come for the music, but the musicians are there for the people. We're intertwined and inseperable. That guy you stand next to you entering centeroo, the hula hoopers grooving at camp, and the impromptu drummers jamming out on shakedown alley; you all relate. The music draws us to the same local, but the psyche was already set. I can't wait to bring it together once more.

  My reasons for being the "biggest fan" are different than most. I am not a musician, nor is it only "all about the music" for me. I am certainly an experienced appreciator and a huge fan of music, but what I came to treasure about Bonnaroo is the total experience that the music helps facilitate.
  Last year was my first Bonnaroo. Fresh out of high school and inexperienced in the festival world, having Bonnaroo as a first festival was equivelent to having heroin as a first drug. I have since been to Wanee and Langerado, and neither compare to the madness, brilliance, and experience of attending Bonnaroo.
  I am a fan of community, a fan of good nature, a fan of music, art, and differences. Picking that perfect group of friends, ones you trust, and depending on one another, sharing the experience that is Bonnaroo, is priceless. You learn a lot about the ones you're with; how far they will go for you and just how much they love you or love themselves.
  An unplanned mushroom trip around centeroo might lead to a moment of clarity where "this is what it's all about" might just pop into your head. The jokes, the characters you meet, the groups of people there for the love of music, even the hilarity that ensues when everyone is trying to avoid going to the porta potty, it all comes together and lets you see the TRUE finer things that life has to offer. So if Bonnaroo is more than a tangible plot of land with 80,000 people running around, more than just big acts and quirky attractions, if Bonnaroo is the experience I think it is and as important as I feel it is, than I am the biggest fan of Bonnaroo, period.

  Why should I win tickets to Bonnaroo? I wouldn't want to take up everyones time by telling you how I am a musician, had a band who broke up and now I want to rediscover myself at a music festival. Bonnaroo isn't about that, it's not about who has the biggest ego and who deserves more of a right to be there and it's certainly not about using it as a stepping stone to launch a career. for me personally I think that those types of ideals are what takes away from the spirit of what a music festival is all about. It's about the experience, about meeting other people who love life just as much as you do who want so badly to return to their roots that a fire is ignited within them. To quote one of my favorite poets, Saul Williams- "We are all Per-Sons, meaning beings of sounds, so what we say matters." So as beings of sound - it is places like music festivals, slam poetry comps, side street performances, street artists, etc, etc, etc that we as people, get the chance to really shine through. Now I know I recently signed up for OurStage and my profile may not be "up to par" with some of the other people posting on this board, but the point of the matter is we all have something to say (as we can see from the posts here) - the only variance is what we choose to say and how we choose say it. To me, thats what Bonnaroo is all about. With that I just hope to be given the chance to meet and interact with others who quite simply, love life.

  My name is Bigg Tigg08 and i am writing you this beacuse i know that if i dont make it in the contest i will still have my music and thats all i really need but i would also like to say that it would be a honor if i were to be givin the tickets to go attend the bonaroo cause i have never experienced it and i heard that it was a big event. I am forever grateful to have found this site and i will never let it go in fact i have been tellin everyone about it and i have gotten like 20 some people to join and start voting plus setup a music page cause i know a lot of musicians that dont have the exposer that they need. All in all i will never stop talking about this site im gonna keep on tellin everyone about it and what it does for you as a musician it is a great opportunity to have your music heard all over the world and that is somthing you cant pass up cause you would have to be a dummy. Well what im trying to say is that i would love to be givin the tickets because i really deep down beileve i am meant to experience the Roo and im hoping with your help it can be blessed upon me thank you and i hope you have a wonderful day

  When I was sixteen I got to see LED ZEPPELIN,in Birmingham,AL.The year was 1977 May the 21'st and I had tears in my eyies when they played the BATTLE OF EVERMORE,JOHN PAUL JONES played the three necked guitar they called it JONESIES SECRET WEAPON.I will never forget that day in my life......Im a singer song writer with no recources to get a LP recorded and Ive been writing songs and have been able to keep up with about a three hundred original song catalog.Ive got a band and we are trying very hard to find an invester to help us out,Im a working 40 hour week man at 48 years old now with wife and two young children and shuffeling a job and paying bills and rehearsing with my band so when the time comes we will be ready to record a CD and get it on OURSTAGE and hopefully play at the BONNAROO one day.until then it would be the great to win a trip there and take my chidren and let them have a memmory of music that they will remmember all thier lives like I have had.

  Need to reunite with my international Pearl Jam touring crew at Bonnaroo, and beyond. Haven't got my flight booked yet from Sydney Australia yet, but if I can score this, I'm there in a flash. Having seen Aussie, Japanese and Europeans rock out, it'd be tops to see how you Americans do it!

  I have recently discontinued my traveling promotion of my upcoming CD to stay at home and aid with my wife's recent surgery. it was quite an extensive operation and the recovery period could be up to 3 months. There would be nothing cooler in the world( except winning the competition and performing there ) than being able to go to BONNAROO 2008 as our first outing together in a very long time. It's hard to afford to do something like this after loss of wages and trying to keep up with bills and we want to go to BONNAROO! PLEASE send us. and for all my friends and fans here in Ourstage. keep coming by to visit me and i'll keep adding new stuff. everybody keep up the great work and keep on keepin' our dreams alive.
