Bobby is 27 years old and has been surrounded by music his entire life. He learned to play guitar at the age of 4. His first experience performing for an audience was in his church. At the age of eight he was performing at the Strand Theater in Millington, TN. His biggest influence was his father Robert Murray, who taught him how to play guitar. Bobby's entire family was into music and passed the love of it to him.
Bobby has played with some of the most sought after musicians in Nashville. These musicians include: Cowboy Eddie Long (steel guitar for Jamey Johnson), Wayd Battle (lead guitarist for Jamey Johnson), Jim "Moose" Brown, Kevin "Swine" Grant, Dave MacAfee (drummer for Toby Keith) and others. Cowboy, Moose and Swine are the top session players in Nashville. They are featured, along with Bobby, in the studio versions of Drive, Short for Gone and Pourin' Whiskey Down. Bobby Murray and Drivin' 'til Midnight have been playing together for approximately 3 years. All of the musicians are well seasoned veterans of the stage and are featured on the demo live tracks that were performed at The End Zone in Covington, TN. Since then, they have played well over 200 shows, including opening for John Conley & Joe Diffie at the Gates,TN Street Festival in 2008 and 2009. They have also performed for big events at Riverside International Speedway, including the World of Outlaws.
