Billy Bloodaxe is a solo artist who writes, produces and performs quirky, dirty, catchy electro-synthpop. Initially starting out under the moniker of Coldseat in 2005, Billy supported such electro luminaries as Crystal Castles, Tigerpicks and Late of the Pier as he blazed a trail across the venues of northern England. Billy Bloodaxe is a solo artist who writes, produces and performs quirky, dirty, catchy electro-synthpop. Initially starting out under the moniker of Coldseat in 2005, Billy supported such electro luminaries as Crystal Castles, Tigerpicks and Late of the Pier as he blazed a trail across the venues of northern England. A slight tweaking of his sound led to a name change in the summer of 2008 when Billy Bloodaxe was born. Since then, Billy has released a single ‘Poseidon Vs Pandora’ and gigged at as far flung places as Leeds, Shoreditch, Camden and Glasgow, as well as being featured on the front cover of Sunderland based Manifesto magazine. Billy currently has a team of film producers (Hidden Pie Production) working on a promo video for ‘Medusa and Me’, a track that he hopes to release as a single this summer. He will also continue to gig as much as he can ahead of the release of his debut album in autumn 2009.
