Beyond the Veil was formed almost five years ago as a small “sister act”. Since that time, the female-fronted group has grown to five full-time members, recently sharing the stage with Dove Award winning artist Jaci Velasquez, Dove nominated artist Krystal Meyers, rock legend Skillet, as well as leading worship for a televised CBN 700 Club event. Composing all of their own music, filled with telling lyrics and haunting melodies, Beyond the Veil strikes a chord with today’s generation. Lead vocals and keys are covered by Brittany Turner. Lending harmony as well as a driving beat on the drums is the middle sister, Miriah Turner. Rounding out the complex three part harmonization and playing backup percussion is the youngest sister, Sierra Turner. Guitarists Chuck Mabe and Ben Andres complete the sound of this cutting edge group.
Located in Stevensville, Maryland, 40 minutes outside of Washington, DC, Beyond the Veil performs on an average 60 shows a year at coffeehouses, festivals, churches and youth events. Traveling the United States coast to coast, the band is hoping to tour Europe sometime in the near future. Beyond the Veil’s debut album, “The Things of This World Pale”, titled after a lyric in their self-titled song, was released Fall 2007 and is currently being distributed online through over 16 companies including iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com, CDbaby and Digstation.
