As a songwriter, she enjoyed chart success with several songs in the US and Europe, and received a platinum record for writing “Mousercise” for Disney, which was also the theme for the long-running cable show. Beverly has been the recipient of several awards such as the OBIE, L.A. Weekly Best Musical, the AGLA Image Award, the American Song Festival Best Song, and the Seoul International Song Festival Best Song, where she represented the United States as performer and composer.
