John Renner the founder of Benfoot. gratifying about beating on a snare drum I always felt like I would play music forever I started playing guitar in my teens and never knew anything more than your usual metallica riff and could only play it steady for a couple seconds I never got serious about guitar until I turned 24 and came across a bunch of time on my hands but that's a different story I started to write lyrics and sing and couldn't get enough it was a release to have the sound in my head take shape into something beautiful no matter how raw or out of tune it may have been I couldn't give up on my songs or myself the lyrics came so quickly that I could barely finish a song before another one was screaming in my head forget all the dreams of playing for millions of screaming fans I was more interested in just making the CD I heard inside my head and being able to play it in my car I was making the music I wanted to listen too.
