Not much there yet.

I have a photo blog at my PBase site, for whatever. But, specifically for extra info on my concertina compositions, I’ve rearranged my wordpress blog and will get busy with that.

Everything is linked one way or another from my domain page of bellowbelle.net — all blogs, dogs, frogs, everything!

Since my husband and I now post stuff as The Hallelujah Bums, I’ve decided to use that identity for my activities from now on, here at ourstage. I’m not sure yet if I will still add music to bellowbelle.

I finally found this one again ~ it was lost in the stacks. This has some lyrics, too, which I’d like to find again. I wrote this in 1994, and it was derived from playing the Chinese scale in the key of D: D, F#, G#, A, C#, D. (That’s 1, 3, #4, 5, 7, 8.) Yes, I think this was when I was going through that ‘tritone phase…’

The midi is actually too brief ~ there’s another verse to it. But, whatever.

Edit Added later…

My scanner won’t seem to work right so I have a photo of the music posted at
http://www.pbase.com/geranimom.
But here are the words:

HALLOWEEN SONG

Hello, it’s Halloween
Dress for the scene
Eat pumpkin pie

If you can fly,
Grab a broom
We’ll go hopping
From tomb to tomb

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello, it’s Halloween
Faces are green
Teeth are blue
Who are you?
Nobody knows
Gliding wherever
The wind of the cemetery blows
I’m still learning more about this ABC2WIN stuff. I like it, though; it’s a very convenient way to notate music. I guess if you use a Mac instead of Windows, you’d want to use Barfly instead of ABC2WIN. I do have a Mac Mini, but, I started out using Windows and so I still use some programs created for Windows.
(Edit added 11/12/08:) Re the two different ABC software things — I know I’ve got something right about that, but, I notice that it seems to make no difference what computer you’re on when using the Tune-O-Tron Converter gadget at concertina.net. (I dunno, you know… things get updated, and leave me in the dust!)
