Bear Lake is a band of six lifelong songwriters and friends who have played in varying projects, together and apart, since grade school. Through the early years, each member developed their own, unique songwriting style. In 2007 these six decided to combine their crafts to experiment with a band based on musical exploration; where each album becomes a new journey through vast and varied terrain. Bear Lake has refused to “design” their music into one style or “sound” and continues working to mold each song into its finest form, whatever that form may be.

Soon after Bear Lake’s 2007 formation, the band found itself with a diverse collection of music that needed to be released to the world. Thanks to a chance encounter, Bear Lake soon met Al Sutton (Kid Rock) and Eric Hoegemeyer (Rustbelt studios – Sponge, The Go, Electric Six) who immediately shared the band’s artistic vision and helped to make Bear Lake’s music available to the general public. In early 2009, Bear Lake started working with Howard Hertz (Eminem, The Go) as well as North Star Media who have helped place BL’s music into such shows as Melrose Place and One Tree Hill.

While they have garnered positive attention from press and local radio as of late, Bear Lake continues working to expand the skills and soundscapes they put on display. They are a everchanging musical entity that guarantees each new visit will be more vibrant than the last.
