MUSICIAN… I must give credit to the musicians I played with, and explain how I became a full time musician. I played in a band from 8th grade on. It seemed that just as the band would have (just about)enough songs to audition and play out, someone would quit. I paid big butts to record and head to New York,to get a big time audision at Rado city, Island Records, Culumbia or a show case with America and the band that sang “Hold Your Head Up” heck, Ican’t even remember their name. Anyway, my band member would get shared and quit, just as things got good. Everytime, it’s like a war story, and I have the battle scrares to show for it. Well, findly I went to Holliday Inn and wrote down the agents name from a really good top 40 bands that was playing. A week later, the agent called and set me up with 3 auditions to bands that were coming to the town I lived in. The second band hired me, 2 girls and me, playing DISCO music, well that was a first for a rock and roller like me, but I stuck it out and a year later I had my own band, a 4 piece, same agent, always a years worth of gigs ahead of me, playing every week 6 nights. Well the years went by and members changed and the Inns started having less entertainment, We played in Mutle Beach, Nags Head, Atlantic Beach, high class Sky lodged parties for the mob, big stuff like that, we were offfered cruses and to play in Japan, (I don’t like fish or rice that much so…) We ended up a high tech duo, my girlfiend played 2 keyboards and I played guitar, we both sang, I though it was great, but other part- time musicians thought we were stuppid to travel 35 states just to make a living, BUT my first gig was in Lewistown, Pa I made $385 a week and my last job was in Mt. Washington Hotel in New Hampshire, the Boston Philharmonic play our brakes on the $th. of July. Amagine that!,the 2 of us made $2,000.00 for the week. So I think I owe a little thanks to Razz, A TRIO THAT GAVE ME A CHANCE TO WORK WITH PRO MUSICIANS THAT MADE MONEY. That is why I was able to have years on the road, writing, entertaining and recording. Sax was my first instrument, then guitar, voice and bass. Out of need for a drummer I started playing keys. lol, keyboard drums. I record and produce most of my own music and wouldn’t have it any other way… unless I find musicians that like what I write and I get enough money to buy massive advertising and payola for the radio stations. I’ve played for years and toured 35 states playing 80’s top 40 dance. Visit my website and enjoy the UFO experience.
