For years, Barry Brandon has been collaborating with talented songwriter Jose Luis Rodriguez. Together, they have created the ultimate electro-pop sensation. "Scar to Star" is one hit after another. Opening with the lead single, 80's inspired "ElectroGlamourous" and continuing on with underground club hit "Break Me Down". Next, exploding with the sure to be worldwide smash anthem "I.D.N.U." and ending with the heartfelt ballad "Back Where We Began".
About the artist: Barry Brandon
Barry Brandon was born in Miami Florida and spent many childhood years in hospitals across the country. From birth, he was told that his heart would never function properly, but Barry kept on singing. With talent overflowing, Barry used his music and performance to sustain.
Now at 29, he has survived eight open-heart surgeries and has been given a new lease on live. His doctors are confident he is finally healthy enough to dive head first info his career ( … as if that could have stopped him).
In 2007, Barry founded The Heart Foundation to raise money for families of heart patients so that they could afford to to stay by their side in the hospital. It is Barry’s belief in the healing abilities of family, love and laughter that act as the driving force behind The Heart Foundation.
Before his last surgery, Barry decided to pick up a camera and document his experience, just in case. He enlisted the help of a friend, Jordan Hackworth, who is in the process of expanding the footage into a feature-length documentary about Barry’s life, his heart, his foundation and his dreams of stardom.
For years, Barry has been collaborating with best friend and songwriter Jose Luis Rodriguez. Together, they have created the ultimate ElectroGlamPop sensation. “Scar 2 Star” is Barry Brandon’s debut EP that is currently available via all major digital distrubution companies.
