Baby G began writing her own material at the tender age of 14years. Influenced by urban artists such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kayne west and Beyonce, her work covers several genres.

Not content with just writing her material, Baby G works with her own studio and has been studying production, both at college and from producers she has worked with she is currently at university studying music technology specialist.
“It’s hard you know, buying equipment and making your own way without some type of funding isn’t easy, but I want to put as much of me into my songs as I can right now”.
Baby G will be releasing her debut album “who I am ” in 2013 and is currently working on new material. A few tracks from the album have received radio airplay and deals with several subjects close to her heart, such as poverty and the disaffected”.
Dance and choreography play a large part in the life of Baby G too. Her shows are self produced and recent gigs at festivals and night clubs have met with much approval and crowd participation.
“ I love to dance and to choreograph my shows. I’ll freestyle sometimes when the mood takes me, it’s liberating and I get a great vibe from the audience when letting loose. I teach dance too when time permits, but my music is taking up more of my time these days”.
The determination to communicate her work is more than evident when talking to Baby G. The passion burns and the ambition is unbridled.
“ I’m based in the East Midlands right now, but ultimately I want to gig over in New York and LA. Taking my UK perspective over to the States would be an interesting prospect. I feel I have much in common with the US scene, rap’s birthplace, but I’m distinctly a UK artist and my home is important to me”.
But for now Baby G is content to grow her fan base via writing, performing and various PR exercises. What will be is in the future and the future as we all know, is what you make of it.
