Avienne is an alternative rock band that formed in early 2007. At a Fourth of July party, he met a little drummer boy named Justin who stood two heads taller than him. Mike came over and sang "Every Rose has its Thorn" and won them over. Kentaro was walking down a hallway carrying a violin when they nabbed him. While they were looking for a bassist, Tyler happened to sub in for another band and caught their ears.Ah, wonderful serendipity. We stumbled across each other. We haven't been the same since. A blues guitarist, a drumline snare player, some chorally trained singers, a classical violinist, and an experimental bassist somehow merged and created something new. We've challenged each other and pushed everything along in a direction none of us really expected, and we love it! We started performing together in the spring of 2007 and found some other people who loved our music too. We got lucky.That summer we were seldom in the same state at the same time but we managed to work hard, write a lot, and we came back in August with most of our current repertoire. We gigged a lot in the following months, gathering fans and improving our performances. We played everything from coffee shops to festivals to an exclusive party for people in the music business. In the Winter we went into the studio.Avienne loves you. We hope you might find something in our music that makes you move, makes you laugh, makes you think, makes you smile, and gives you hope.
