I could attempt to impress you with my resume of accomplishments, but since I'm writing this myself, I would rather take up this space by telling you about why I'm here on Ourstage. That's more important.
I love what I do. Writing is not simply a form of release or artistic display of my abilities. It's something more sacred than that. Whether you listen to me discuss topics of love and sensuality, political views, societal observations or perspectives based on my own faith and religious views, there is one thing you will always notice. I have a sincere love and passion for what I do. I thank God for allowing me to share with you.
I am here on Ourstage.com to help gain more recognition within the music industry for spoken word artists. I've been at this for a long time. I started writing when I was just a babe and I began pursuing writing on a semi-professional basis one day when I realized how much joy I find when the words are released from my spirit. I know that I am not the only artist who feels this way. Maybe by participating here on Ourstage.com, I will play my part in not only opening doors for myself, but for other artists who remain true and respectful to their gifts. Talent can be developed, but gifts are inherent.
If you are an artist on Ourstage, I may stop by and share a few words of recognition and encouragement with you. I do that irrespective of how well known or unknown you may be. I do that because I have a keen ear for the kind of music, lyrics, singing, and messages that our communities need to hear.
As you listen to my work during competitions, please judge honestly and fairly. There are many artists here who have amazing abilities. Let's be sure to promote the kind of Spoken Word that we would love to hear played on the air waves.
Peace & Blessings,
My Pad (Hometown): Atlanta

Don't Forget What Led You Here
If you’re a singer, spoken word artist, musician or all of the above, you were led here by your passion for the art itself. Although all of the talk about voting, ranking, etc. is relevant, it’s also distracting. You know what I mean? It’s hard to write, sing, and compose if your mind is polluted with elements of the environment. Stay true to yourself.
If you can sing, no one has to tell you that you’re good. You know you can sing! If you can play, no one has to vote for you to confirm that you have what it takes. You already know you have what it takes because you were born with it! Believe in yourself especially when it doesn’t appear that you are getting a fair shake.
This is a great site to gain exposure for being “gr...

WHEN THE ROAD TURNS AND VISION BLURS, STAY THE PATH.
WHEN RAIN FALLS AND PAIN SINKS IN, STAY THE PATH.
LET YOUR SOUL AND YOUR HANDS HOLD ON TO DESTINY
WHEN TEARS FALL AND MUSCLES RESIST, STAY THE PATH.
WHEN FEAR WHISPERS AND FAILURE HOVERS NEAR, STAY THE PATH.
LET YOUR HEART AND YOUR FEET KEEP TEMPO WITH FAITH
LET YOUR MIND AND YOUR EYES SEE THE INVISIBLE
and LET YOUR LIPS GIVE BIRTH TO THE IMPOSSIBLE!
