Austin, Texas - A city where new and blooming artists have flocked to find their home in music for years. A city where every street and venue prides in their musical taste and thrives on the fighting for the greater good of music. A city that gave life and opportunity to its newest artist on the rise, Ashley Sailer. Raised in San Antonio into a musical family, I fell in love with the arts at a very young age. But it wasn’t until I composed my first song “Yours” that I really understood my deep connection to music. With the combination of intricate contemporary piano styling, and rich, but sweet vocals, I have come up with a style that is often compared to that of Sarah Bareilles, Missy Higgins, and Sarah McLachlan – but with a kick. My songs are all very lyrically heavy with much emotional content and are intended to tell stories to my listeners. My purpose in music is to simply transfer raw feeling into something that you can listen to and feel in return. If I have reached you, I have reached success. Even though I am very young, I believe I still have a song to be heard and am only continuing to grow in my musical education and improvement. I’m currently attending Full Sail University to study Show Production and Music Business, both of which I’m hoping to refer to when it comes to performing more creative and exciting shows! Jimi Hendrix once said, “The reflection of the world is blues, that's where that part of the music is at. Then you got this other kind of music that's tryin' to come around.” Well, my music is right in between.
