The band known as Ashen Epitaph was founded by Attila Habram (drums), Mihajlo Sturc (bass), Attila Boros (guitar) and Zsolt Lihtentál (vocal) in the autumn of 2003. The group had countless difficulties in the beginning, but these didn't put the members off their plans. They worked mostly on covers in their rehearsal place with the likes of the Unleashed, Pungent Stench, Six Feet Under etc. They underwent a change of line-upin the spring of 2004. when Norbert Gyori (Mortis Causa) guitarist joined the band. The next task was to find a more suitable lead singer. Zsolt soon departed the band and his replacement was Attila Boros. The group remained four-member including 2 guitarists from that time. The band has also started work on his own compositions (but to be sure, the song "From West To East" was finished earlier). The band's first line act took place on the Zentai Nyári Ifjúsági Játékok ont he 16th of July in 2004, wher a large number of people showed an interest in the band's music, in spite of the fact that it was a forgottable appearance. The band received its first invitation right after the debut along with an after to make its demo CD in the Chainroom homestudio in Senta. The band spent its time on giving a few concerts and recording the demo CD in the second half of the year. At the end of 2004 the band gave a concert abroad (in Hungary) for the first time where they came on the invitation of the Hungarian band called Replugged. In March of 2005 the group completed work on the demo CD called "From Underground" which includes 4 songs and it got good reviews. On the other hand the group reached the worst point in this career up till now in the first half of the year as a consequence of poor concerts and atrocius performance of the members and the whole band alike. To make things worse, the band was forced to give a concert with a dificient line-up on the Overdose Festival. But by the end of 2005 everyting was put right and beside the succesfull appearances which had a certain ambience, the band came up with 4 new songs. The group has its plans in 2006, including the records of a new demo CD, taking part in talent contests and giving as many concerts as possible, but these remain to be seen...
