When i first joined Ourstage i never expected everyone to be so thoughtful and supportive. I probably wouldnt have wrote a blog because i thought no one would ever read it but now i am feeling so welcomed by everyone i know the least i could do is tell you all a little about myself and why i am here.

Well im just your average woman from a city called Hull or Ull lol. Me getting into singing and writing was all by accident believe it or not. I was 15 years old and wrote a song. My friends seemed to like it and put me intouch with a musician to work with. Three weeks later i found myself performing it live at th Red hot fiester. Mad but very true! I then went on to working with various producers and guesting for people or companies.

I guested for Lawrence ray @ Blue water studios for the Back to Base album at the age of 15 and went on to headline gigs at the Hull city hall with the likes of Ministry of sound,Transglobal underground, Slipmat, Fragma, and more. I was also feature in the newspapers and the whole show was air played. Even got Robbie williams stage managers mobile number and address to send demos.

As you can imagine at my age then i was pretty shock with how quickly things happend

In 2002 i ment my new production team, Amanda lowe ( also author!) and Quentin Budworth who now produces films for the BBC.

I would spend any time i could on there farm writing and recording. After finishing a few songs i was asked to send a demo for the new BBC raw talent competition. I never expected a reply or to hear anything of it again but i received a letter saying congrats and i had been placed into one of the heats of the live comp.

I was up against other bands like Mr mojo and artist like Emma rug who have performed on a daily basis and competed before so i thought i was totally out of my depth. Again to my suprise i won.

However the public voted Mr mojo back into the grand final and they won. I know where the fairness in that! Oh well me not being a bad looser i took it like a pinch of salt and moved on.

Literally! I moved to Germany.lol. Well i moved to Salisbury first. When i first went over to Germany i moved to Bielefeld which was such a great place to live. I started looking up musicians and contacts. I sent demos,even spoke to the head of Bertlesmann. I had meeting with two different labels who both said they wanted to work with me. Even joined a rock band.

Anyway due to personal circumstances i had to move back near my home town. I wasnt too upset cos i had been away in total of 5 yrs and did miss some things.

Although shortly after returning i did find out one of those German labels who wanted to take me on are masive. Worked with Beyonce and many more of that status.

Oh well thats my life story. Always nearly get somewhere but something happens. lol.

Well i better bring you up to date then. Today i have a few songs, few mad tales to tell, still working with various producer, still unsigned and all that jazz.

Oh i did manage to get featured on a radio show on xmas eve and the CEO offered me a deal. Mmmmm May take her up on that one. Yippee!
