Dear Onstage,

I would like to thank you for the chance to be involved in your competition. I noticed we won in the category submitted.

Previously, “Ocean Dreams” came out on top to #1 on the dance charts on www.soundlick.com in less than 2 weeks! We are truly proud of this achievement.

Unfortunately, I’ve become to beleive that most of the participants and/or artists in your competition are involved in rock music.

A good number of music categories revolve around rock. This fact diminishes my ability to be involved in a competition whereby there is a fair and accurate representation of my talents or the talents of other artists. The dance music I perform would not bode well in a rock concert setting and vice versa. There are numerous ‘channels’ displayed. There are at least more than 5 niches in ROCK:

Alt Rock Hard Rock Indie Rock Contemporary/Soft Rock Rock Instrumental Hardcore Metal Death Metal Punk Guitar Solo Rock Sponsored by First Act Indie Pop Experimental Christina / Spiritual Acoustic Folk Cover Bands etc…

Compared to others for example, TECHNO/CLUB/DANCE, LATIN or HIPHOP these categories have only 1. Due to the overwhelming representation of ROCK in your competition, I would not be able to provide a sucessful challenge. Moreover, many of our fans would not have the will to spend up to 5 hours to vote, as a great number of the cuts are devoted to ROCK music.

I surmise that most of the votes are from the artists themselves. The competition is set up for artists voting against each other, eliminating the other music categories altogether. Due to all of this, I nor others facing the same predicament would ever have a chance to win the final competition. Therefore, I would like Arnold G “Ocean Dreams” to be removed from your finalist list.

Please do not hesitate to email if you have any questions or concerns. I harbor no ill feelings and hope you are able to find a worthy winner.

Best Regards,

Arnold G
