2004- : Archaic agesArchaic was formed by 3 ex-members of Braindeath (Hungary) in 2004 with David Takacs on bass&vocals, Laszlo Puski on guitars&vocals and Csaba Zoltan Szabo on drums, setting a new path in musical experience - mainly thrash coloured with many kinds of other influences - but still based on the previous style. Among a couple of concerts, the band had its second blitzkrieg in Kiev (Ukraine) the same year, but for the first time under the name "Archaic". Archaic had decided to record the first album and started prepare for the event. Originally only 4 songs were planned to be on the EP, but according to the band's decision finally 10 songs were recorded to create a full album. In order to produce the best possible sound the recording and the mastering were done by Zoltan Cserfalvi in Denever Studio in 2005. The "Time has come to Envy the Dead" album was released by the authors in 2006. The public was surprised by the New Wave of Hungarian Metal and gave a surprisingly positive reaction to the debut of Archaic in Hungary. The album got a 8.5/10 in the Metal Hammer magazine, and the track "The Archer" was also released in the Terrorizer Magazine jubilee #150 Compilation (Fear Candy #34).Afterwards, Archaic has signed to VicRecords for the "Time has come..." debut album in 2006, September. Special thanks to Gyula Havancsák (Sin of Kain - HU) and Roel van Reijmersdal. Meantime, the band was strengthened by an undiscovered guitarist talent, Akos Olt! The band got 2 nominations on the Hungarian Music Awards, namely for the best debut album and for the best album cover. Archaic has also recorded a video clip for "The Archer" and was released with the "Time has come to Envy the Dead" album in 2007 April-May. The band is recording the second album in 2007, widening the musical range of thrash and death metal. Looking for label!
