About Aramie
Chicago, IL
[AIR·ruh·mee] After making a tough decision to end his Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign heading into his fourth and final year – Aramie’s got something to prove. Naysayers who believed Aramie should have completed his undergraduate studies before embarking on such a formidable journey have consistently questioned his decision. Already, though, he’s built a following of his musical endeavors – Team Aramie. Aramie has been blessed to perform around Chicago and the Midwest. Also, with the growing success of Madison-native L.U.V.’s smash single, “Go Down”, (which features a hook written and sung by Aramie) the music industry is already buzzing about this young man’s talent.
Although his music has a heavy R&B influence, it is not genre-specific. Aramie finds inspiration in Pop, Soul, Gospel, Acoustic, R&B, Hip-Hop and alternative music. He takes pride in writing (and often composing) all of his music – however is not turning down the opportunity of working alongside other writers. He also writes for a handful of other artists.
Inspiration: Some of his favorite musicians include Stevie Wonder, Usher, Maroon 5, Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Monica, Toni Braxton and many more.
Anticipation: Aramie is currently preparing for the highly-anticipated release of dual mixtapes, Fanatic and A-Game, in late-Spring and early-Summer 2011.
