Allostene are essentially, four young gentlemen from the rougher suburbs south of Perth city (the most isolated capital in the world.) They grew up on their own, with very little interest in sport, cars & school-life and after graduating from two of the worst high schools Western Australia has to offer, they set about following their passion as musicians. Having years of experience between them already, in Elementary school bands & all being striving son's of musicians, they set about in hunt for others, who shared their undying love for classic hard-rock. As the parties grew larger and their circle of friends, smaller, they found themselves on an Oval one night, after being thrown out of an overcrowded, open-house party by local police. The four obvious music-freaks (wearing Zeppelin, Bowie & Sabbath shirts) gathered in a smaller circle and expressed their love for old-school rock, with the murmur of the crowd in the distance. By the time the mass of people had dispersed, these four young men had exchanged numbers and vowed to form a band that would some day conquer the earth. They jammed on a Wednesday night ritual (that is still held to this day) and very soon after, found themselves performing at parties, large gatherings, 18ths and every single opportunity possible in front of an audience. Their repettoire consisted mostly of AC/DC, Metallica, KISS & Bowie covers but there was always an interest in original music. Once they had a handful of songs they could call their own they booked a day of recording in a studio in the heart of Perth city and laid a 3 track demo. With their demo as ammunition they began booking shows throughout the Perth & West Australian region. They performed 26 shows between May & December '07, completely by request of agents who were blown away by their hard-rock stylings and chaotic live shows. The following 18 shows found Allostene in support of well reknown local and interstate bands on tour and releasing CDs and by July 2008, Allostene found themselves in the studio 9 days, recording their debut EP: "High Road." The remainder of 2008 was spent performing a number of scarce but high profile shows, as the boys battled a few demons of their own. Job-loss, breakups, death's in the family/friends & some nasty encounters with drugs & police, caused the band to be put second in priority for a short period of time (all the while jamming every Wednesday night.) With a new year that is 2009, a fresh outlook on the world & experience & happenings, that most wouldn't see in their entire lifetime, Allostene are set to unveil the art-piece that they've named "High Road." Since January of this year they've performed numerous shows and will continue to do so for many years to come. Allostene pride themselves, very much on their live performances, creating an energy in a venue that impacts the audience long after they leave. They, in every way, already lead the Rock n Roll lifestyle and believe that 'If somethings worth doing, it's worth over-doing.' They have cheeky attitudes, boyish charms and the ability to create a sound unlike any other of this generation. All they ask, of each and every one of you, is that; if you can identify or relate to anything that Allostene stand for, or simply enjoy the music they make, join the army that already is.
