I guess the correct answer is, "What does it mean, not to you, but FOR you?" A Lily Gray is a conduit intended to pierce the veil and shine a light into the darker corners of the human Self that most people seldom dare to know, out of the fear of what they may learn about themselves. We choose to answer the questions found in-between the lines and behind closed doors, and accept the reality of this life's beautiful and fragile duality. For instance, an ambulance is speeding towards the scene of an accident/emergency. The first thought in most peoples' heads is, "Oh my god, something terrible has happened. Someone is about to die, how awful." What A.L.G. serves to communicate is, "A miracle is about to take place. A life is going to be saved, or at the least, comforted during their transcendency."This by no means is a way of simply looking on the brighter side of things. It's rather a new perspective to stimulate and evoke an awareness of a delicate balance in all things.And like such delicate balance, A Lily Gray symbolizes all that IS; a loss of innocence and purity, a scar on the face of an angel, the fine line of bleak emptiness and hopeful content, redemption, emergence, and enlightenment through the processes of consciousness. Such are the themes of A Lily Gray's debut EP with moving lyrics that are hauntingly subtle, compellingly emotive and poetically gripping. (currently being recorded)
