What makes a hero…is it what they did when they were alive or how they were remembered…is it the ability to lay down their lives for others…or is it the strength to hold your head high when no one knows your name…if you look closer you will see someone like you…someone trying to find their way…someone trying to find their place…someone trying to find their self…and if you can hold on…if you can find the courage to face another day…that someone will find you…and they will remind you that it wo...

What makes a hero…is it what they did when they were alive or how they were remembered…is it the ability to lay down their lives for others…or is it the strength to hold your head high when no one knows your name…if you look closer you will see someone like you…someone trying to find their way…someone trying to find their place…someone trying to find their self…and if you can hold on…if you can find the courage to face another day…that someone will find you…and they will remind you that it won’t always be this way…that someone is out there looking for you…and they are the last hope for all those left behind. A Hero Remains came together after the disbandment of two prominent Knoxville bands. Jason (former Wake the Grave bassist), Josh (former Ghost of a Martyr guitarist), and John (former Ghost of a Martyr drummer) started the band with a single goal in mind; to spread the message of God and praise His name through their music. The addition of Aaron (former Beneath Burning Skies guitarist) and JR (vocalist) followed quicky thereafter. Then, when they least expected it to happen, Brandon (former Wake The Grave drummer) joined up to add the keys and make their music sound more melodic and technical than ever. Having now solidified their line-up, they are willing to go as far as needed to see their goals through. JR is a relative newcomer to the music scene but his lack of exposure is quickly forgotten with his explosive stage presence and gripping vocals. Josh and Aaron mix the simplicity and the technicality of lead and rhythm guitars so that there is no discernable lead player between the two since they both share the work and the praise. Jason is the veteran of the group with more experience in the music industry than the entire band put together; his progressive bass patterns leave no room for one note hits. John brings to the table a mix of numbingly fast double bass and break neck beats while keeping them simple and catchy to bring the whole listening experience together. Bringing the music together tighter than ever before with his harmonies and technicalities, Brandon makes the music whole. A Hero Remains have now released their debut E.P. titled And There Were Giants.
