The story of A Hero en Route began in July of 2008, when bassist Jacob Hillenbrand and vocalist Bobby Angle met at a small party in the town of Evansville, Indiana. The first band practice took place with Frank Legeay on drums, Austin McCool on lead guitar and Jon Steiner on rhythm guitar. After a long summer of touring and promoting their first Extended Play “Be Your Own Advocate,” A Hero en Route returned to the recording studio and tracked their sophomore effort “Therefore, I Fled” which is available on iTunes and Smartpunk.com. A Hero en Route’s powerful live show coupled with their unique sense of style sets them apart from the scene bands that dominate mainstream music. A year has passed since the birth of A Hero en Route and many more fun filled years are to come.
