Over the last few years, since Vivesect's break up, Miles and Pete begun playing and writing new material. Their intention really, was to piece together all the fragmented riffs and ideas they had and record them so they wouldn’t be wasted. What happened was much more. They heard potential in writing heavier and more death metal style songs and had been working hard at building around that. March 2009 was the start of "After The Burning" when Pete and Miles picked up ex Murder Theory vocalist...

They heard potential in writing heavier and more death metal style songs and had been working hard at building around that. March 2009 was the start of "After The Burning" when Pete and Miles picked up ex Murder Theory vocalist "Dustin Ogle" and a young talented bassist "Aaron Kaufmann" they combined their love for death metal, melody, heavy riffs, blast beats, and demon-like vocals into structured, organized songs and it has shaped into a brutal force of sound.
