About A dead girl
A dead girl was originally formed in 2001 by brothers Justin and Cory. Early influences ranging from Deftones and Coal Chamber to Placebo and Morrisey. At first the two were using a drum machine for live performances until 2004 when Cory moved over to drums. After a number of temporary bass players came in and out of the band the position was finally filled by James in 2007. The band still felt they were missing a piece and decided to pursue a second guitar player. In the summer of 2008, Justin ran into childhood friend Shaun. After a few jam sessions it was clear that he was the missing piece. until November 30th when tragedy struck the band when their bassist James passed away, but determined to push on in honor of his memory they consulted a long time friend Jon. Jon now plays drums and Cory switched back to his original position bass. A dead girl's sound as been described as a blend of modern hard rock and late 90's nu-metal.
