While attending school at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, the group began looking for a permanent bassist to add to the mix. They befriended and came to know bass guitarist Luke Basinger, who would eventually come to join them. On August 3rd, 2010, Basinger joined the band as the first permanent bassist of Addison Prophet. The group's sound can be described as intelligent song writing with an alternative acoustic-driven rock feel. Lyrics that reflect struggle, growth, and a search for truth, accompanied by instrumentals that house the energy and harmony of the band's brotherhood.
