Action Figure Love Story started in 2007 with brothers Brian Sevier – Guitar/Vocals and Nick Sevier – Drums/Vocals. Action Figure Love Story started in 2007 with brothers Brian Sevier – Guitar/Vocals and Nick Sevier – Drums/Vocals. AFLS began playing as a two piece in Austin Texas at venues Red Eyed Fly and Room 710. As the two played songs such as “Rid of Yourself” and “Writing on the Wall” the two continued playing until 2009 when Action Figure Love story decided to add a third member to the group, long time friend and musician Heath Henderson on bass. With AFLS now a three-piece, the band wasted no time perfecting past songs, while creating new material and pushing themselves to learn different styles of music and incorporating them into their constantly evolving sound. Now in 2010, AFLS is still going strong performing in Austin, Texas and surrounding cities playing both earlier material and new material such as “Pleasure in Poison” and “Reach for the Sun”. As Action Figure Love Story continues to create new music that has been noted to sound like such bands as Pearl Jam mixed with Death Cab for Cutie, The Ramones meets Hank Williams Sr., and REM combined with The White Stripes with a hint of Jane’s Addiction. Now half way through 2010 AFLS is in the process of recording their first debut album, and as quickly as they are writing the music, they should have enough for a second album soon after.
