Her love for the rhythms of the world has grown into an unrelenting joy as she returns her gift of music and art back to the community which has help nurture her talent. A composer & performer from an early age, LaMantia fell in Love with Carnival Culture and Music after seeing "Black Orpheus" on an old Black & White TV. Then she heard the Steel Pan, met some very nice people who invited her to Trinidad for the following Christmas, and she now lives in Port of Spain part of the year. Her Trinbagonian friends & family call her "d' born again Trini". Ha! In Spring 2013, Martin Raymond's AudioMagic Productions, Trinidad, will be booking LaMantia on a Caribbean Jazz Festival Tour.
